How LinguiLot and Acquire A Lot LLC collect, use, retain, and protect account, learning, billing, support, and analytics information.

Acquire A Lot LLC (“Acquire A Lot,” “LinguiLot,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy.
This Privacy Policy explains how personal information may be collected, used, disclosed, stored, and otherwise processed when you use LinguiLot.
It applies to www.linguilot.com, LinguiLot accounts, the LinguiLot learning platform, and related support services.

2. Age Requirement
LinguiLot is designed and marketed for adults aged 18 years or older.
We do not intentionally offer the current LinguiLot service to children.
If we learn that an ineligible minor has created an account or provided personal information in violation of our age requirements, we may take steps to delete the account and associated information.
3. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use LinguiLot, we may collect the following categories of information.
A. Account and identity information
This may include:
- email address;
- display name;
- internal account or user ID;
- authentication method;
- email verification status;
- account creation date;
- connected Google authentication information where applicable.
We do not receive your Google password.
B. Learning profile information
This may include:
- target language;
- interface language;
- starting level;
- placement information;
- learning goals;
- motivation selections;
- daily learning goal;
- timezone;
- avatar selections and configuration;
- learning preferences;
- accessibility preferences.
C. Learning activity and progress
This may include:
- lessons started and completed;
- current lesson position;
- exercise attempts;
- correctness and accuracy;
- response times;
- hints or explanations used;
- vocabulary and grammar review history;
- spaced-review status;
- mastery indicators;
- stories read or completed;
- favorites and resume positions;
- game sessions and results;
- learning days, streaks, XP, and related progress information.
Some learning activities may contain short typed responses.
Do not use learning responses to submit sensitive personal information that is not necessary to complete the activity.
D. Speaking and microphone information
Certain LinguiLot activities allow you to record yourself so you can replay your speech and compare it with a model.
For the MVP, these recordings are designed to remain local to your device by default.
They are not intended to be uploaded to or permanently stored by LinguiLot and are discarded when you leave the applicable activity.
Microphone permission is requested only when you choose to start a recording activity.
If LinguiLot later introduces cloud recording, automatic pronunciation analysis, or another feature that remotely processes voice data, we will provide appropriate notice before that processing occurs.
E. Subscription and payment information
Payments are processed through Stripe.
LinguiLot may receive and store billing-related metadata such as:
- Stripe customer identifier;
- subscription identifier;
- selected plan;
- subscription status;
- billing period;
- renewal or expiration date;
- invoice or payment status;
- refund status.
LinguiLot does not store full payment card numbers.
Payment information entered into Stripe-hosted payment interfaces is handled by Stripe.
F. Book Bonus information
If you redeem a Book Bonus code, we may process:
- account information;
- redemption code or normalized representation of it;
- eligible book or campaign;
- redemption result;
- date and time;
- limited fraud or abuse-prevention information;
- hashed or minimized network/device signals where reasonably necessary.
G. Device and technical information
We may collect information such as:
- browser type;
- device type;
- operating system;
- approximate network information;
- IP address or minimized/hashed representations where appropriate;
- page or route viewed;
- timestamps;
- application errors;
- performance information;
- authentication or security events.
H. Analytics information
LinguiLot may use PostHog to understand how users interact with the product.
Analytics may include information such as:
- account sign-up method;
- onboarding completion;
- lesson starts and completions;
- general accuracy bands;
- game and story usage;
- feature usage;
- navigation patterns;
- technical errors;
- product performance.
We design analytics so that passwords, full payment information, and sensitive authentication fields are not captured.
General product analytics are not intended to contain the actual text of your lesson answers.
If session replay is enabled, we use available masking and privacy controls and seek to avoid capturing passwords, payment forms, typed lesson answers, and other sensitive fields.
I. Advertising measurement and attribution
With your permission, LinguiLot may use advertising measurement technologies to understand whether marketing campaigns lead to visits, account sign-ups, and paid subscriptions.
This may include limited campaign, click, conversion, plan, and transaction-value information used for advertising measurement and attribution.
We do not intentionally send passwords, full payment card information, lesson-answer text, or voice recordings to advertising measurement providers.
J. Support communications
When you contact support@linguilot.com, submit a support form, request a refund, report content, or request privacy assistance, we may collect:
- your email address;
- account identifier;
- subject and message;
- screenshots you voluntarily provide;
- technical information relevant to the issue;
- content or lesson identifiers;
- billing or subscription references where relevant.
Email sent to support@linguilot.com may be processed using the email infrastructure used by Acquire A Lot LLC.
4. How We Use Information
We may use information to:
- create and authenticate accounts;
- provide lessons, stories, games, review, and other learning features;
- save and restore learning progress;
- personalize recommended learning actions;
- maintain review and mastery systems;
- provide Book Bonus access;
- manage subscription entitlements;
- process and reconcile payments;
- communicate account and security information;
- send password reset and verification messages;
- provide customer support;
- investigate errors and content reports;
- detect fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and security incidents;
- improve learning content and product design;
- measure product performance;
- understand aggregate product usage;
- measure advertising and marketing effectiveness where you have permitted optional measurement technologies;
- maintain and debug the Service;
- comply with legal obligations;
- establish, exercise, or defend legal claims;
- send marketing communications where you have consented or where otherwise permitted by applicable law.
5. Service Providers
We use service providers to operate LinguiLot.
Depending on the feature, they may include:
Supabase
Used for database services, account authentication, data storage, and other backend functionality.
Stripe
Used to process paid subscriptions, payments, invoices, refunds, billing status, and customer billing management.
Vercel
Used to host and deliver the LinguiLot web application and related server functionality.
Resend
Used for transactional email delivery and related email functions.
PostHog
Used for product analytics, product performance, error analysis, feature evaluation, and potentially privacy-configured session replay.
Used, when optional advertising measurement is permitted, for advertising campaign measurement and conversion attribution through technologies such as Reddit Pixel and the Reddit Conversions API.
Used when you choose Google authentication or other Google-based account functionality.
Namecheap / Private Email
Used for the LinguiLot support mailbox and therefore may process information contained in messages sent to support@linguilot.com.
Authorized operational and development tools
Acquire A Lot LLC may use controlled development, monitoring, support, and AI-assisted operational tools to develop or maintain LinguiLot.
Access is intended to be limited according to operational need and appropriate permissions.
We do not intentionally provide these tools with payment card numbers, passwords, or other credentials for general operational analysis.
6. When We Disclose Information
We may disclose personal information:
- to service providers that help us operate LinguiLot;
- when necessary to complete a transaction or requested function;
- to investigate fraud, abuse, or security threats;
- where required by law, legal process, or a valid government request;
- to protect the rights, property, safety, or security of users, Acquire A Lot LLC, or others;
- in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, or sale of all or part of the business, subject to appropriate legal requirements;
- with your consent or at your direction.
7. Sale of Personal Information and Advertising
Acquire A Lot LLC does not sell personal information.
LinguiLot is not designed to sell user information to data brokers.
When you permit optional advertising measurement technologies, LinguiLot may disclose limited identifiers and conversion information to advertising measurement providers for campaign measurement and attribution.
Depending on applicable law, some advertising-related disclosures may be treated as sharing, targeted advertising, or cross-context behavioral advertising. Where required, LinguiLot provides applicable consent or opt-out controls.
If our practices materially change, this Privacy Policy and any legally required controls will be updated.
8. Cookies and Similar Technologies
LinguiLot may use cookies, browser storage, and similar technologies for:
- authentication;
- session management;
- security;
- preferences;
- accessibility settings;
- saved application state;
- analytics;
- product performance;
- advertising measurement and attribution where permitted.

Where consent or additional controls are legally required for non-essential technologies, we will provide the appropriate choice.
9. Marketing Email
Transactional messages necessary for your account or requested service may include:
- verification messages;
- password resets;
- account security notices;
- billing notices;
- subscription changes;
- support responses.
These messages may still be sent when needed to provide the Service.
Marketing communications, such as product announcements or promotional messages, are handled separately and may include an unsubscribe mechanism.
Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent essential account or transactional messages.
10. External Retailers and Websites
LinguiLot may link to external websites such as Amazon or other retailers.
When you leave LinguiLot, the external site's privacy policy applies to information collected by that site.
We do not control the privacy practices of independent external websites.
11. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including operational, security, contractual, accounting, fraud-prevention, and legal requirements.
In general:
Account and profile data
Retained while your LinguiLot account remains active.
Learning progress
Retained while your account remains active unless earlier deletion is appropriate.
Voice recordings
Local and temporary by default in the MVP and not retained on LinguiLot servers.
Support communications
May be retained for a reasonable period after the support matter closes so we can maintain service history, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and comply with legal requirements.
Security and audit information
May be retained for a reasonable period based on security and legal needs.
Payment records
Stripe and other payment-related records may be retained according to Stripe's legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, and regulatory obligations.
LinguiLot may retain limited transaction references where legally or operationally necessary.
Analytics
Analytics data is retained according to our configured analytics retention settings and may be aggregated, deleted, or de-identified when it is no longer reasonably needed.
Deleted accounts
When an account is deleted, we take reasonable steps to remove or de-identify account and learning information from active systems, subject to legitimate legal, security, payment, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, and backup requirements.
Residual data may remain temporarily in backups until normal backup rotation is completed.
Aggregate information that no longer identifies you may be retained.
12. Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live and which law applies, you may have rights concerning your personal information.
These may include the right to request:
- access to information associated with you;
- correction of inaccurate information;
- deletion of certain information;
- information regarding categories of data collected or disclosed;
- portability of certain information;
- restriction or objection to certain processing;
- withdrawal of consent where processing depends on consent;
- opt-out from certain types of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling where applicable;
- an appeal of certain privacy decisions where required by applicable law.
LinguiLot does not sell personal information.

We may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests.
We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
Authorized agents may submit requests where applicable law permits, subject to appropriate verification.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right protected by applicable law.
13. Account Deletion
You may request account deletion through available account settings or by contacting:
Deletion may permanently remove your:
- profile;
- onboarding information;
- course progress;
- lesson history;
- review information;
- game and story progress;
- preferences;
- Book Bonus and access records where legally and operationally permissible.
Before deleting an account, we may ask you to confirm your request or verify account ownership.
Deleting a LinguiLot account does not necessarily erase transaction records held independently by Stripe where those records must be retained.
14. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information.
These include measures such as:
- authenticated access;
- database access controls;
- role-based permissions;
- server-side authorization;
- encrypted HTTPS connections;
- restricted secrets;
- payment processing through Stripe;
- rate limiting on sensitive operations;
- security logging;
- controlled administrative access.
No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
If you believe your account or information has been compromised, contact support@linguilot.com promptly.
15. International Processing
LinguiLot is operated by a United States business and is initially designed primarily for users in the United States.
Our service providers may process information in the United States or other countries in which they operate.
If you access LinguiLot from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to or processed in countries with privacy laws different from those in your location.
Where legally required, we will use appropriate mechanisms for international data transfers.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as LinguiLot changes or legal and operational requirements evolve.
The current version will display the date it was last updated.
For material changes, we may provide additional notice through the Service or by email where appropriate or required.
