Acquire A Lot LLC is committed to making LinguiLot usable by as many people as reasonably possible, including people with disabilities.
Our Accessibility Goal
LinguiLot's engineering and design target for its core learner, account, and checkout-adjacent experiences is Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA.
This statement describes our accessibility goal and ongoing work. It should not be interpreted as a certification that every LinguiLot page, game, feature, or third-party service currently achieves perfect WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance.
Accessibility Features and Practices
LinguiLot is designed to include accessibility considerations such as:
- keyboard-accessible navigation;
- visible keyboard focus;
- logical page headings;
- accessible form labels;
- screen-reader labels where appropriate;
- text alternatives for meaningful images;
- readable text and responsive layouts;
- support for increased text size;
- appropriate color contrast;
- information that does not rely only on color;
- captions or transcripts for instructional audio where appropriate;
- large touch targets;
- reduced-motion alternatives;
- alternatives to motion-based game interactions;
- adjustable or avoidable time limits in learning modes where appropriate;
- accessible feedback for correct and incorrect answers;
- support for touch, mouse, and keyboard interaction.
Games and Motion
Some LinguiLot games use visual movement or time-based interaction.
Our goal is for every core learning objective available through a motion-based activity to have an accessible reduced-motion or non-motion alternative where required by the LinguiLot product design.
Accessibility accommodations should not reduce a learner's educational access.
Audio and Listening Activities
LinguiLot includes instructional audio and listening activities.
Where appropriate, transcripts or captions are provided so learners can access required instructional information.
Some activities intentionally test listening comprehension. In those situations, a transcript may become available after the learner's attempt or according to accessibility preferences so that the underlying learning objective can be preserved while supporting accessibility needs.
Speaking Activities
Speaking practice may require microphone permission when the learner chooses to record.
A learner who cannot or does not wish to use a microphone should still be able to continue through the course.
LinguiLot does not require automated pronunciation scoring in its initial MVP.
Third-Party Content and Services
Some LinguiLot functions may rely on third-party services or link to third-party websites.
Examples may include payment pages or external book retailers.
We do not control every accessibility aspect of independent third-party websites, but we aim to choose reputable providers and keep essential LinguiLot functionality accessible wherever reasonably possible.
Ongoing Improvement
Accessibility is an ongoing process.
As LinguiLot evolves, we intend to test and improve core flows across supported devices and browsers, including accessibility-focused testing involving:
- keyboard-only operation;
- screen-reader compatibility;
- text enlargement;
- high contrast;
- reduced motion;
- responsive layouts;
- audio alternatives.
Known Limitations
Because LinguiLot is an evolving web application, some content, games, third-party components, or recently introduced features may not yet fully meet our accessibility goal.
When we identify a meaningful accessibility problem, we aim to evaluate and remediate it as part of our product and quality-assurance process.
