Web applications may also use related technologies such as local storage, session storage, and similar browser-based mechanisms.

For simplicity, this Policy sometimes refers to these technologies collectively as “cookies and similar technologies.”

2. How LinguiLot Uses These Technologies

LinguiLot may use cookies and similar technologies for the purposes described below.

A. Strictly Necessary Technologies

These technologies are necessary to operate important parts of LinguiLot.

They may be used for:

• account authentication;
• maintaining an authenticated session;
• account security;
• preventing abuse;
• routing and infrastructure;
• maintaining essential application state;
• remembering necessary security-related information.

Disabling necessary technologies may prevent parts of LinguiLot from working correctly.

B. Preference and Functionality Technologies

These technologies may remember settings such as:

• interface preferences;
• audio preferences;
• caption preferences;
• reduced-motion choices;
• accessibility settings;
• learning preferences;
• other application settings.

Some settings may be stored in your LinguiLot account rather than in a browser cookie.

C. Analytics Technologies

LinguiLot may use PostHog for product analytics.

Analytics may help us understand:

• which features are used;
• whether onboarding is completed;
• lesson, story, and game usage;
• product navigation;
• performance and errors;
• general retention and product engagement.

Analytics are intended to help us understand and improve LinguiLot. Advertising measurement is described separately below.

Where legally required, we provide appropriate controls or consent before using non-essential analytics technologies.

D. Advertising Measurement Technologies

With your permission, LinguiLot may use optional advertising measurement technologies to measure campaign performance and attribute visits, account sign-ups, and paid subscriptions to marketing efforts.

Current providers may include Reddit through technologies such as Reddit Pixel and the Reddit Conversions API. We may add or replace advertising measurement providers as our marketing changes and will update this Policy as appropriate.

These optional technologies are not enabled for a new visitor unless that visitor accepts optional analytics and advertising measurement technologies through our consent banner.

E. Session Replay

LinguiLot may use privacy-configured session replay to diagnose user-experience or technical problems.

When enabled, we use available masking and configuration controls intended to prevent sensitive information such as passwords, payment forms, and typed lesson answers from being intentionally captured.

F. Local Speaking Recordings

Speaking practice may temporarily use browser memory or device resources to record audio you initiate.

In the LinguiLot MVP, these recordings are designed to remain local to the device and be discarded when you leave the activity.

They are not advertising cookies and are not intended to be used for tracking.

3. Advertising and Marketing Measurement

LinguiLot may use optional advertising measurement technologies to understand the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and attribute visits, sign-ups, and purchases.

These technologies are optional and are enabled for new visitors only after the visitor chooses Accept in the LinguiLot consent banner.

Choosing Decline leaves strictly necessary technologies available while optional analytics and advertising measurement technologies remain disabled.

4. Third-Party Services

Some services used by LinguiLot may set or use their own cookies or browser technologies as part of providing their services.

These may include services associated with:

• Supabase;
• Stripe;
• Vercel;
• PostHog;
• Reddit advertising measurement, when permitted;
• Google authentication.

For example, when you leave LinguiLot to complete Stripe-hosted checkout or use an external Google authentication flow, those providers may use technologies governed by their own policies.

5. External Retailer Links

LinguiLot contains links to external retailers such as Amazon.

When you follow an external link, the retailer may use its own cookies and tracking technologies.

Those technologies are controlled by the external site, not this Cookie Policy.

6. Cookie, Analytics, and Advertising Choices

Where available, LinguiLot may provide privacy or analytics preference controls.

You may also control many cookies through your browser settings.

Blocking all cookies may prevent login, account sessions, saved preferences, or other essential LinguiLot functions from working properly.

Refusing optional analytics or advertising measurement technologies will not prevent access to core LinguiLot learning solely because you declined those optional technologies.

7. Do Not Sell or Share

Acquire A Lot LLC does not sell personal information.

When you permit optional advertising measurement, LinguiLot may disclose limited identifiers and conversion information to advertising measurement providers for campaign measurement and attribution.

Depending on applicable law, this may be treated as sharing, targeted advertising, or cross-context behavioral advertising. Where required, LinguiLot will provide applicable controls and recognize legally required privacy signals.

8. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Policy if:

• technologies change;
• providers change;
• analytics functionality changes;
• new features are introduced;
• legal requirements change.

The “Last Updated” date will indicate when the Policy was most recently revised.
